Já encontra-se disponível a versão 5.1.41 do banco de dados MariaDB. Esta nova versão foi categorizada como RC (Release Candidate), so it’s one step away from being ready for production. MariaDB already comes out of the box with some important improvements compared to MySQL 5.1 (which served as the base for this derivative work):
- Additional Storage Engines: Maria, FederatedX, PBXT, xtraDB;
- Better performance in complex queries;
- Slow query log with more detailed information;
It’s worth checking out the full list of improvements. If the goal is to truly stay in the “open source” world with a robust and reliable database, MariaDB can be an excellent choice.
